Questionaire results

Our group created a questionnaire regarding to horror trailers we did this so we could see what our target audience's opinions were. In doing this, we found out what there likes and expectations are for a movie.
This has allowed me to see the feedback of what my target audience thinks of my ideas and we could use these answers and opinions when editing together our horror trailer which would help us to appeal our target market
After posting the questionaire on our blogs we analysed the feedback:

Are you male or female?
The feedback from this was both male and female. So we are aiming to target both genders.

How old are you?
The majority of people that answered this was in the age bracket of 16-19 but close behind was 20+ so we are aiming our trailer to people between 16- early 20's.

What genre of movies do you prefer to watch?
Horror was the chosen genre with comedy a close second. This is one of the reasons we chose to do a horror so we could really appeal to our target audience's wants and interests.

What location is best for a horror trailer to be filmed in?
Forrest/woods was most popular so that is why we chose to film most of our trailer in the woods.

Should the protagonist be male or female?
It is clear to see from the results that is split down the middle half of the votes think a female and half think a male. Our group after considering both chose to use a female for our protagonist just to challenge conventions and make our trailer a bit more unusual and interesting.

Do you think that captions would be beneficial to incude in our trailer?
More people voted for yes and we also agree as we think that captions help to understand a trailer and our target audience think they will be benefical to use so thats why we incuded captions.

What type of sound or music would you like to hear in a horror trailer?
Majority of the votes was for both so to incorporate this in our trailer we started off the beginning of the trailer with slow music, then when the action started building we used faster paced music.

Which name do you prefer for a film magazine?
This question was important for us as we did not know which name to choose and we was really interested in our audiences opinions and they voted for The flicks so that is the name we chose for our magazine.

After analysing the results we can see that we are aiming our trailer as both genders aged 16- mid 20's.

We used their answers and opinions very carefully making sure we tried to incorporate everything we found out into our trailer to make it appeal to them and meet their expectations.
